When I was pregnant with my 1st, I was told by some friends that leaking urine when I sneezed, exercised, or laughed was completely normal after having a baby. It was just a part of mom life.  So many moms also spoke about being discouraged that they still looked pregnant years after they had given birth to their babies.  At the time I just accepted these common occurrences as completely normal in the  postpartum years.  I figured this would be my story as well.  At the time I worked in an entirely differently field and was totally clueless.  I wish I had, had the knowledge and lived experience back then to help these women.  Although incontinence and diastasis recti are common after having babies, these symptoms are NOT normal.  They don't have to be accepted.  They can in fact be positively changed.  

Who am I & Why listen to me?  My name is Alison Coombs. I am a mom of 3, Certified Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor, & Core Confidence Specialist (Pelvic Health Cert), & soon to be Yoga Teacher. After the birth of my children, in addition to my interstitial cystitis, I experienced both incontinence and diastasis recti.  Even with the complication of my interstitial cystitis, I was able to improve my incontinence and diastasis recti.  I have since gone on to help so many of my clients do the same.

If I Had A Baby 30+ Years Ago...Can This Challenge Still Help Me?
Yes!  While it may take a little longer.  Positive changes can and are seen in moms at different stages of life.

How Long Will It Take For Me To See Changes?
It really depends.  Everyone's body is unique and these changes will take time.  I have seen some of my clients stop leaking urine after 2 weeks. I have seen clients get really great results healing their diastasis recti after 28 days.  Others take longer. Some moms love this program so much and want to continue to see great results and so they  sign up for level 2.  Changes can take a few weeks, a few months, or years.  The great part is that you have the guidance of the Facebook Group and you have ongoing access to the challenge content.  There are plenty of progressions and regressions to keep you moving forward in your pelvic health journey.  Be patient and don't give up!

Can I Expect Any Other Positive Changes To My Body During This Challenge?
Yes! Should I See A Pelvic Floor Physio?
I always recommend my clients to see a pelvic floor physio (if they have access to one).  I believe it a great idea even if you are doing an online program.  They can do an internal exam and also ensure you are doing your pelvic floor contractions correctly as well as releasing the pelvic floor fully.
